LUMI on the cover of OPEN AIR — sunlit meadow, golden hour

Debut album — out now

ten songs
for an open
kind of joy.

LUMI is the project of Ana-Mira Yun-Pereira. Open Air is her first album — ten tracks built on a single idea: joy is communal, joy is outdoor, joy is something you make.

About LUMI

01 / Artist

LUMI is the project of Ana-Mira Yun-Pereira — a 21-year-old singer and songwriter who grew up between Lisbon and Brooklyn, with one Portuguese parent and one Korean-American. She wrote her first finished song at 14, posted demos publicly at 16, and spent two years building Open Air with a single trusted production duo.

Her debut album moves easily between tropical-house, funk-soul, K-pop, Eurodance, country-pop and disco, held together by one warm mezzo voice and one thesis: pop music should make the room feel like a room full of people.

She sings in English, Portuguese and a little Korean. She wears one piece of yellow every time you see her. She'd rather be outside.

Pop is supposed to be the thing you put on so the room feels like a room full of people. I'm not interested in making music people listen to alone in their headphones to feel sad about themselves. I want to make music that makes you turn it up and put the windows down. — LUMI, in interview
